QUOTATION NOTICE
Sealed Quotations are invited by the Commissioner of Customs (Import), New Custom House, Ballard Estate, Mumbai 400 001 from reputed parties for a comprehensive Annual Maintenance contract (AMC) for Nine (9) Touch Screen Machines installed by this Custom House .
The AMC will be under the terms and conditions mentioned below and shall include maintenance, repair and replacement of parts as and when required. Interested parties may submit their sealed quotations within 07 working days from the date of issue of this notice to the Assistant Commissioner of Customs (EDI), 1st Floor, New Custom House Annex Building, Ballard Estate, Mumbai 400 001. The Commissioner of Custom (Import) reserves the right to accept/reject any or all quotations without assigning any reason.
Terms & Conditions
1. Only reputed and experienced parties having a turnover of more than Rs. fifty lakhs during the last 3 years along-with sufficient technical expertise will be considered.

2. The AMC will be valid for a period of one year from the date of taking over the machines by the vendor for maintenance.
3. The sealed quotations will be opened on 28.06.2010 at 11.00AM in the office of the Addl. Commissioner of Customs, EDI, 1st Floor, Old Bldg., New Custom House, Mumbai.
4. The repair, replacement and maintenance of the scheduled equipment and software as deemed necessary will be attended to by the company’s engineer promptly on all working days except on holidays when the Custom House remain closed.
5. The AMC will cover cost of replacement of components or parts, failed naturally during usage of the system including short circuit or any other reason. The touch screen machines have been provided for facilitating the trade and any delay in repairing a machine beyond one day will be penalized @ Rs. 500/- per day and will be deducted from the amount payable to him at the end of the each quarter.
6. In order to reduce the down time of the machines and delay in repairs, a resident engineer/ technician will be provided by the vendor who will be based in the EDI section of Mumbai Custom House.
7. Preventive maintenance will be carried out at least once in a month by the vendor in respect of each machine under the supervision of officer of the Department and a report will be submitted every month subject to satisfactory services .
8. The bills will be paid on completion of every three months of service.
9. If the services of the vendor are not found satisfactory, the AMC will be terminated after giving him a notice of 20 days.
10. If the vendor wishes to discontinue the AMC, for any reason, he will give a prior notice of 3 months to that effect.

The AMC will be under the terms and conditions mentioned below and shall include maintenance, repair and replacement of parts as and when required. Interested parties may submit their sealed quotations on or before 5.30 PM on 28.12.2009 to the Office of the Assistant Commissioner of Customs (EDI), 1st Floor, New Custom House, Annex Building, Ballard Estate, Mumbai:- 400 001. The Additional Commissioner of Customs (EDI) reserves the right to accept/reject any or all quotations without assigning any reason.
Terms & Conditions
1. Only reputed and experienced parties having a turnover of more than Rupees Fifty Lakhs during the last 3 years (Certificate to this effect from Chartered Accountant to be submitted) alongwith sufficient technical expertise will be considered. Experience Certificates should be submitted alongwith the quotations.
2. The bid should be inclusive of applicable Service Tax.
3. The AMC will be valid for a period of one year from 01.01.2010 to 31.12.2010.
4. The sealed quotations will be opened on 29.12.2009 (Tuesday) at 11.30 AM.
5. The repair, replacement and maintenance of the scheduled equipment and software as deemed necessary will be attended to by the company’s engineer promptly on all working days.
6. The AMC will cover cost of replacement of defective parts. This does not cover the cost of the replacement cartridges / toner which will be provided directly by the department to the concerned sections where printers are currently installed.
7. There should be no delay in attending to such breakdowns. For any delay where a standby printer is not provided, and the non-working printer under this AMC is not repaired in one working day, the vendor shall be penalized an amount of Rs. 300/- per day per machine which will be deducted from the amount payable to him at the end of each quarter.
8. A resident engineer / technician should be provided on all working days in the New Custom House by the Vendor who will be based in the EDI Section of Mumbai Custom House.
9. The bills will be paid on completion of every three months of service.
10. Interested parties can inspect the above printers between 2 PM to 4 PM on any working days upto 24.12.2009 (Thursday) only on prior appointment from the undersigned.
11. If the services of the Vendor are not found to be satisfactory, the AMC will be terminated after giving him a notice of one month.

i) 1st Floor corridor, Old Building, Mumbai Custom House 3 Machines
ii) 2nd, New Building, Help Desk, Mumbai Custom House 2 Machines
iii) 4th Floor, Group VII, New Building, Mumbai Custom House 3 Machines
iv) Manganese Ore Depot (MOD) 1 Machine

2. The AMC will be valid for a period of one year from the date of taking over the machines by the vendor for maintenance. The tentative date of commencement of the AMC will be on or after 20.05.2009.
3. The sealed quotations will be opened on 15.05.2009 at 11.30 AM.in the office of the Joint Commissioner of Customs,EDI,1st floor, Old Bldg., New Custom House Mumbai..
4. The repair, replacement and maintenance of the scheduled equipment and software as deemed necessary will be attended to by the company’s engineer promptly on all working days except on holidays when the Custom House or the docks remain closed.
5. The AMC will cover cost of replacement of components or parts, failed naturally during usage of the system including short circuit or any other reason...
6. The touchscreen machines have been provided for facilitating the trade and any delay in repairing a machine which has broken down causes inconvenience to the trade. Hence, there should be no delay in attending to such breakdowns. For any delay in repairing a non working touchscreen machine beyond one working day, the vendor shall be penalized and amount of Rs 1,000/- per day per machine which will be deducted from the amount payable to him at the end of each quarter.
7. In order to reduce the down time of the machines and delay in repairs, a resident engineer will be provided by the vendor who will be based in the EDI Section of Mumbai Custom House.
