2. The prices quoted should include onsite support for maintenance of the antivirus solutions/updates on the PCs as mentioned above.
3. Interested bidders may inspect the site on any working day between 11.AM to 5.00 PM & may also obtain detailed information about the installation of Antivirus from the office of the Assistant Commissioner of Customs (EDI), 1st Floor, EDI Section, Annex Bldg, New Custom House, Ballard Estate, Mumbai 400 001 before 22.06.2007 before submission of bids.

1. Only reputed parties with sufficient technical expertise will be considered.
2. The sealed quotations may be submitted till 22.06.2007 upto 05.00 PM in the office of the Assistant Commissioner of Customs, EDI, 1st Floor, Annexe Bldg. New Custom House, Mumbai-400001.
3. The sealed quotations will be opened on 26.06.2007 at 11.30 AM in the office of the Additional Commissioner of Customs (EDI), 1st Floor, Old Building, New Custom House, Ballard Estate, Mumbai 400 001.
4. The maintenance/installation on the antivirus on LAN servers and antivirus solutions on the client/standalone PCs and the software updates, as are necessary, will be attended to by the vendor’s engineer to keep the software and antivirus definitions updated.
5. Only such firms having minimum three years experience of installing Antivirus in PSUs/ Government departments are eligible for submitting the tender.
6. The Additional Commissioner of Custom (EDI) reserves the right to accept/reject any or all quotations without assigning any reason.
7. In order to ensure uninterrupted and prompt services, the selected bidder should ensure that Engineer visits the site at least once a week and is available within 3 Hrs on call.
8. If the services under this contract are not rendered properly/satisfactorily and/or in a time bound manner as may be decided by the Custom Authorities, the charges borne by the Customs Department for getting the services rendered by other means will be deductible/ recoverable from the bidder to whom this contract is awarded.
9. In case the selected bidder wishes to discontinue the said AMC at any point of time, after acceptance, a notice to this effect should be given to this office at least three months in advance. The Department is however, at liberty to terminate the contract with immediate effect in case of breach of any of the terms and conditions of the said contract or if the services are not found to be satisfactory.
10. Prices quoted shall be inclusive of all taxes of any government/local authority etc. as applicable to government department. No payment over and above the prices quoted shall be done by the Customs in respect of any such levies brought to the notice at a later date.
11. The date of commencement of license will be considered from the final date of installation of Anti Virus on the last PC.
12. Within 15 days after the receipt of intimation of award of the Contract from the Principal, the successful bidder shall enter into a Contract in the prescribed form as per Annexure-A to this document.
13. Successful bidder shall submit monthly reports to the Assistant Commissioner/ EDI certifying the satisfactory working of all the PCs.
14. The Assistant Commissioner of Customs, EDI is not responsible for non-receipt/late receipt/loss of the tender documents due to postal delay.
i) Within 15 days after the receipt of intimation of award of the contract from the Principal, a performance security to the Department equivalent to 10% of the Contract value shall be furnished by the successful vendor in the form of a Bank Guarantee Bond from a nationalised bank (in the form given in Annexure–B). The bank guarantee shall be in favour of “President of India (acting through the Commissioner of Customs (IMPORT), New Custom House, Mumbai 400001) and it shall be the responsibility of the vendor to keep this bank guarantee valid till obligations under this contract are discharged to the mutual consent of department and vendor.
